SELF DRILLING ANCHOR SYSTEM

Self Drilling Anchor System consists of the following parts:

  • Single-use drill bits, which are available either hardened or with carbide inserts
  • Steel couplings, with a continuous inside thread
  • Steel nuts
  • Steel plates
  • Hollow Anchor Bar (Self Drilling - Ibo Bolt)

CHARACTERISTICS OF SELF DRILLING SYSTEMS

Advantages and Characteristics

  • Fast drilling and placing due to drilling, anchor installation and grouting in a single operation
  • Neither separate anchor installation nor removal of casing and drill rods
  • Similar installation methods for all ground conditions
  • Choice of drill bits for different ground conditions
  • The hollow core not only serves for flushing with air or water during drilling, but aLso for grouting the anchor tendon
  • FLexibiLity in length by using coupLers
  • Ability to work with small drill rigs without casing in restricted headroom conditions
  • Accommodation of needs for enhanced protection against corrosion upon request.

COUPLING

It is the element used to attach two bolts to each other. The anchor bolt can be lengthened to the designed depth while drilling.

NUT

It is the element used to attach two bolts to each other. It can transfer the stress of surrounding rock to the backing plate.

ANCHOR PLATES

Plates are Hot rolled steel parts with a width of 10 cm to 20 cm, a thickness of about 1-2 cm generally. It can bear greater stress of surrounding rock.
